Andrew and Cathy would like to welcome you to Octofad Farm B & B.

Situated along the scenic road between the villages of Port Charlotte and Portnahaven on the Rhinns of Islay, Octofad is a rather special family-run Bed and Breakfast, set in 650 acres of working farmland. It’s a warm and welcoming home with a choice of rooms to suit all requirements: two double rooms, both with en-suite shower, (both feature king size beds), and one single with a queen size bed, also with en-suite facilities. All rooms also provide flat screen TV, hairdryers and free Wi-Fi.

The rooms are, without exception, spacious, bright, airy and spotlessly clean, yet tranquil and restful combining with the warm hospitality, to offer you the perfect setting for your holiday on Islay.

To make you feel all the more at home, there is a large sitting room, complete with open peat fire, big comfy sofas and chairs, and a television for our guests to share and enjoy. The views from this room look over the farm fields and Loch Indaal to the Paps of Jura in the north and to the mull of Oa in the south. The sitting room is adjacent to the dining room, sharing the same splendid views and where our famous hearty and sumptuous breakfast is served!

Cathy is always on hand to welcome you and to answer questions, organise distillery tours and make dinner reservations.

A review from one of our Guests

“Dreams Do Come True on Islay”

We stayed here for just one night and left with a special memory that will last for years.
The farm’s modern, spotless, luxurious accommodation, facilities & food, surpassed our previous B&B stays in Scotland and beyond. Delighted to see that other reviewers agree with our experience.

The owner’s personality, hosting skills and genuine interest in her guests’ needs, exceeded all expectations. In fact, her anticipation of our unspoken needs was almost telepathic. Brilliant!

If you want a truly memorable stay on this beautiful island, I would recommend you telephone Cathy BEFORE you begin searching online for anywhere else. She (and her beautiful home) will deliver a fabulous Islay welcome and an experience to treasure. Thank you again, Cathy.
